Pillreports is a global database of "Ecstasy"
pills based on both subjective user reports and scientific analysis. "Ecstasy"
is traditionally the name for MDMA based pills, however here we also include
closely related substances such as MDA, MDEA, MBDB. Pills sold as "Ecstasy"
often include other, potentially more dangerous, substances such as methamphetamine,
ketamine and PMA.
By identifying dangerous adulterants, Pillreports performs a vital harm reduction service that can prevent many of the problems associated with "Ecstasy" use before they happen. Prevention is always better than cure, as you cannot cure death.
Please Note: Pillreports.com exists as a harm reduction tool and does not condemn or condone ecstasy use.
December 19, 2014-PMMA Pill Warning in Netherlands - Blue Superman
Posted by johnboy @ 11:13 pm GMT
There are deadly ecstasy pills in circulation. These pills, shield-shaped with the Superman logo on it, have a very high dose of the dangerous substance PMMA.
The Trimbos Institute raises the alarm after the Drugs Information and Monitoring System (DIMS) was handed a tablet sold as ecstasy that actually contained the hazardous substance PMMA.
''It is in the highest state of alert'' said the institute. Normally ecstasy pills contain MDMA. The danger with pills containing PMMA is that it can take a lot longer to feel the effects, which means the user may think they need to take more or re-dose.
Hours after taking the pill severe physical symptoms may occur such as increased heart rate and extremely high body temperature. This can be fatal. In recent years, at home and abroad several people died after using contaminated drugs.
The Trimbos Institute calls to test people on the pills with Superman logo. Since most test centres are closed until after the holidays, the institution discourages the use of ecstasy strongly.
